Een lotus groeit uit de modder. Alles wat ontstaat, vindt zijn oorsprong in de duisternis.
Als schepping een gezicht zou hebben, zou zij mij aankijken met ogen als donkere poelen, gevuld met oneindig potentieel. We zijn vaak geneigd het donker te vrezen, terwijl juist daar de bron van het leven ligt, de verborgen ruimte waaruit alles wordt geboren.
Zoals de feniks uit haar as herrijst, zo groeien ook wij verder vanuit wat is geweest naar wat nog mag ontstaan. En net als de lotus ontvouwen we ons, laag voor laag, tot volle bloei.
