Het leven beweegt in cycli. Er is een voortdurende stroom van groeien en loslaten, aantrekken en afstoten. We zien het terug in de seizoenen, de oceaan, planten, emoties en in onze eigen levens. Die beweging is overal aanwezig.
Dit schilderij is geïnspireerd door die onzichtbare kracht. Het idee waarmee ik begin is slechts een zaadje, een vertrekpunt van waaruit het werk zichzelf langzaam vormt. Wat mij uiteindelijk het meest fascineert, is niet wat het schilderij voor mij betekent, maar wat het oproept in degene die ervoor staat.
Daar, in die ontmoeting, komt het werk werkelijk tot leven.
